Two members of the juncaginaceae, (arrowgrass family) occur in the British Isles, out of a total of around 34 - sea arrowgrass and marsh arrowgrass. All are aquatic or marshland plants with linear, grass-like leaves, sheathing at the base, and elongated clusters of small, three-parted flowers.
