Flowers:
Up to 2 cm long; a tubular, pale pink corolla (occasionally pure white), hairy on the outside, with a three-lobed lower lip that has a few small purple blotches. The ridged calyx has two relatively long teeth on its lower lip, slightly incurved, and three much shorter teeth on the upper lip, angled backwards. Flowers are produced in whorls of branched pairs
Leaves:
Opposite, long-stalked, broadly ovate, up to 4 cm long and 3 cm across, with appressed hairs on the surface and a few very shallow teeth along the margins
