The corolla has a purple tube opening to two paler-coloured lips, the upper divided into two small lobes, angled upwards, the lower into three larger, forwards-projecting lobes. The middle of the lower lip is raised, coloured yellow and white. Flowers are solitary, growing at the leaf nodes

Alternate, hairless, ivy-like, on long stalks, shallowly five-lobed, up to 25 mm across
