Flowers:
Up to 8 mm in diameter; a deep blue corolla with four non-overlapping lobes (one narrower than the others) which are whitish towards the base, and a calyx divided into four equal-size lobes, a little shorter than the corolla. Flowers are arranged in open, elongated clusters, two per node, along the upper portion of the stem, and are attached by relatively long, hairless pedicels, subtended by narrow bracts of comparable length
Leaves:
Opposite, ovate, fleshy, hairless, blunt at the tip, up to 6 cm long, on short stalks, lined with a few small teeth
